Pardon the tardiness, schools > social media as the 2025-26 school year ramps up ツ
For those following my journey, you know K-12 education has been my goal since my time in the Career/Talent space, where I learned just how many career pathways are available...if you know about them. It’s been incredible to bring that passion to McGraw Hill where I’m helping students answer that life-changing question: "What do I want to be when I grow up?"
When you think about it, it's fitting that my first week as part of the MH team took place in my hometown of Las Vegas, NV - There are few places that can match my energy, and the insanity I witnessed as 500+ education lovers gathered for our National Sales Meeting is something I'll never forget. It took a little bit of time to find the perfect spot to continue my education journey, but there was no question McGraw Hill would become home after day 1.
Since then, I've traveled across the East Coast + my territory of Pennsylvania supporting K-12 schools as they evaluate, purchase, and implement their core educational programs (a few highlights pictured below).
1. Our Hybrid DM, Andrea Moser, and I traveled to Pittsburgh to present our ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies programs to the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh - including a drive up Canton Ave, the steepest road in the country.
2. Carl Moore looped me into the Pennsylvania Conference for Teachers of Mathematics where we met 200+ math educators & leaders evaluating the future of mathematics (Increasing students understanding of Algebra 1 was big here)
3. Our NE Region team in Asbury Park, NJ during this yers regional meeting- (shh🤫 📕 big news coming 2026) - shoutout to Andrew Martini & Cecilia Franco Lopez for leading us through some big adjustments as we launch our new Hybrid team + Brooke Hedrick for 6am yoga on the beach to save my brain after the non-stop learning we did all week.
4. We IPO'd 🎉 🏆 You know I love a growing org!
As soon as our scholars have the materials to succeed this coming school year, I will write a longer blog post sharing my thoughts on the state of education, particularly as we lead the digital transformation of the K-12 & Higher Ed spaces. For now, I just have to say thank you to the McGraw Hill team for giving me the space to continue chasing my dream of helping students answer the question- "What do I want to be when I grow up?"
