#1-Who am I?

Who am I? The age old question that we’ve all heard, but never really know who to answer. If you’re asking where to start, I’m Nick, or as I like to call myself, TNT(we’ll get into why in another post).

On the surface I’m an HBCU grad, former D1 soccer captain, Enterprise Account Executive, photographer of many mediums, and Board member at an organization I truly believe will change the way health education is taught in the U.S., Grassroots Health. Below the surface there’s much more. Who I really am is a philomath, a lover of learning and studying, and an entrepreneur.

In first grade I invented my first word, in third grade I opened a fully functioning restaurant in my class, and in college I upped my marketing chops, learned the full adobe suite and built my first revenue generating design business. In 2020 when the pandemic hit I found myself with more time on my hands than I knew what to do with, and used it as an opportunity to find out exactly who I want to be in life. Around the same time I stumbled into the VC/PE/startup world, and I knew I had found my place.

As employee #3 at a tech company in the executive search world I got a glimpse of what I did not know, and it lit a fire under my a**. The philomathic entrepreneur in me had found a gold mine of knowledge, and my brain began bridging the gaps between what I already knew, and what I learn each day. Two and a half years on I've become a fountain of knowledge & have built an unparalleled sales record that's fueled my self belief and the confidence I already had. I’ve made a career of exceeding my own expectations(the highest there are), and that is what I will continue to do. A key trait of all successful entrepreneurs is an inherent, almost delusional, belief in themselves and their ability to succeed, and that belief runs through my veins.
